Science behind our choice of ingredients Nature of hair Our skin by nature is acidic (with a pH in the range of 5-5.5) ; the scalp is part of the skin and it also has a pH of 5.5. However the pH of hair is a low 3.7 1. Our scalp produces its own oil called sebum which keeps the hair at its required low pH (read high acidity). It is important for all hair products to have a low pH so that there is no stress on the scalp or hair. This is a major factor influencing our choice of hair care ingredients

Curd Milk has a pH of 6 and when it becomes curd it produces more lactic acid and its pH is around 4.5.It is also an excellent source of protein, Vitamin B12, calcium, phosphorus and riboflavin.

Curry Leaves, in addition to the presence of Essential Oils, contain chlorophyll, beta carotene and folic acid, riboflavin, calcium and zinc. Since zinc deficiency is one of the major causes of hair fall - it makes a lot of sense to include this in our formulation. The cold extract of curry leaves (10g of cut fresh curry leaves in 200ml of distilled water) has a pH of 6.3 to 6.4.[2] (We are using fresh curry leaves without water dilution, so our hair mask's pH will be still lower)

Lemon Juice contains natural citric acid which has tons of Vitamin C and fights dandruff.
